my sister went and bought a can of longan as a treat for both of us.

i've seen the above line flashing up upon the screen of my school's Mac tons of times,
but never on my loyal lappy.
Alas, while trying to do some work today in Photoshop, it popped up!

i always knew i needed an external hard drive somehow 'cos my lappy only has 20G,
plus i'm sick & tired of trying to copy my stuff out into ever piling stacks of CDs.

initially thought i could hold out till Sept, just before i head home...
but maybe now i have to start thinking about what options i have and then start saving.

should i get just an external HDD?
or maybe say, a 60G Ipod Photo?

spring is upon us

hello spring
hello the hail showers..

pardon the face, but here's a photo

all for a £4.50 haircut

I've just spent 5 hours of my life today sitting in a salon.
Not any tom,dick & harry salon, but the Vidal Sassoon Advanced Academy.
After all that time spent and getting my hair chopped off by the students,
i somehow ended up looking like a chinadoll...

What's with the ang mohs and the image they like to put on me?
Maybe i should look on the other sides:
It looks slightly art decorish.

Was also offered more free haircuts+color in the future by Dove, the assistant creative director.
Am still wondering as i type this, why such a name?

hmmm...
that aside, think i will want another haircut soon.

where's the freaking garoupa?!

Was packing up my stuff (yes, again!) when i came upon a cd full of photos,
taken during a round-island Smiles Discovery car treasure hunt,
which took place sometime in Dec' 03.

Damn it, i was still quite slim then... my arms are NO WAY that size now.
Don't think i will ever forget that day, cos we (say yong+ the twins) stood at that pond for like 1hr+ & caught no fish
and i got the ugliest ever tan line from that tank top!!
which then ruined my plans to wear a nice tube dress that night for a girls night out...

For some unknown reason, the photographer hired for the event took tons of photos of my group trying to fish...
and most of them got me looking weird.

Doesnt help that the photos were then available for sale,
which he compiled into a CD complete with cheesy music,
& with 1 of the aweful photos of me used to mark out the 'Fishing Photos'.

Arghs!!!

The very thought of just other people having the very same CD with my bleah photos in it makes me green in the face.

Now i really hope not that many people bought the Cd......

Painted this design too and it sure was quite a nightmare for my eyes....

Popped into Urban Outfitters when Dave was doing his round of shopping.
When we reached the household section and saw this chair, i almost screamed!

why?

'cos last year this time, i was sitting in a studio in Battersea and painting THIS VERY design!

I was on a work placement with Neisha Crosland
and was made to paint tons of different color combinations for the various designs,
all in Gouache.

so anyway i did my part in getting nice color combinations for the above design,
called Meringue.

yes, 1 year on and i finally feel a sense of achievment.
besides, it's a really lovely print and goes very well with the chair.
